The much-awaited Hospitality Horizon Top 50 Restaurant Awards 2025 was a resounding success. Hosted by Grand Hyatt Gurgaon, these awards brought together culinary legends, wizards and stalwarts from across the country for the biggest celebration of the food and beverage industry. Tarun Seth, GM of Grand Hyatt Gurgaon, played the perfect host as he personally took care to see that every little detail was looked into.
The Presenting Partner for the awards was VEEBA while Powered by Partners were Haier, UNOX and Catch. Platinum Industry Partners were The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, Radisson Hotel Group and GIPL, Gold Industry Partner was IHG Hotels & Resorts and Silver Industry Partner was Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Associate Partners were Daawat and HAKS, Hydration Partner was Bisleri Vedica, Trophy Partner was Premier Printers and Event Setup Partner was Minutes Entertainment Solution.
The 13th edition of Top 50 Restaurant Awards, with NDTV Profit as TV Partner, sought to create a unique platform to recognise culinary talent. The awards ranked the top restaurants in the country in order of votes by the Grand Jury comprising the who’s who of the food and hospitality industry including heads of leading hotel chains, top restaurateurs and acclaimed chefs.
These awards were divided into two separate categories i.e. Restaurants in Hotels and Standalone Restaurants. In addition, this year, we introduced a list of Iconic Restaurants which will be updated and announced each year but restaurants listed here will no longer compete in the awards.
Since this was a closely contested competition we had three positions in Restaurants in Hotels category that were tied. As we wanted to maintain the sanctity and credibility of these awards while celebrating all the rightful winners, we decided to leave the numbers unchanged which is why we have 28 awards instead of the stipulated 25 in this category. The point is simple: more the merrier!
Under the stewardship of Chairman of the Jury Dr Nakul Anand, Corporate Hotelier of the World 2019, Co-Chairpersons Priya Paul, Chairperson, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels and KB Kachru, Chairman, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group and Chief Advisor Camellia Panjabi, Queen of Indian Food as well as Esteemed Directors, winners were decided by the votes of the Grand Jury.
To its credit, Indian Accent, Mumbai, bagged the number one position in Standalone Restaurants in the country followed by Masque, Mumbai and The Table, Mumbai.
For Restaurants in Hotels, Avartana, ITC Grand Chola, Chennai bagged the top slot, followed by House of Ming, The Taj Mahal, New Delhi and Ukiyo, The Ritz-Carlton, Pune.
The restaurants that made it to Iconic List were: Bukhara and Dum Pukht, ITC Maurya, New Delhi, Indian Accent, New Delhi, Megu, The Leela Palace New Delhi and Wasabi by Morimoto, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai.
