Hospitality Horizon Top 50 Hotel Awards 2023 celebrated excellence
The inaugural edition of Hospitality Horizon Top 50 Hotel Awards 2023, with TV Partner FoodFood, kicked off with bang. The star-studded evening was a resounding success as it brought together the who’s who of the industry to celebrate excellence.
The prestigious award was hosted by Hemant Tenneti, Cluster GM for The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake & Lakeside Chalet, Mumbai – Marriott Executive Apartments, at the newly rebranded hotel on November 22. Ranju Alex, Area VP, South Asia, Marriott International, delivered an inspiring keynote address on how the hospitality industry is set to scale new heights.
The gala awards was anchored by celebrated food expert, TV host and author Rashmi Uday Singh who wowed the audience with her ready wit, charm and extraordinary knowledge of the hospitality industry.
Hospitality Horizon Top 50 Hotel Awards 2023 ranked the top 50 hotels and hoteliers in the country. The winners were decided by votes from the Grand Jury comprising the leading lights of the food and hospitality industry while the people choice awards were decided by the Editorial Board with Top 5 Awards being declared in 10 different categories presented in alphabetical order, not in order of any ranking,
The awards were held under the stewardship of Chairman of the Jury Nakul Anand, chairman of FAITH and Executive Director of ITC Hotels, and Co-Chairperson Priya Paul, Chairperson, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels. Sanjeev Kapoor, Founder, FoodFood TV was the mentor and KB Kachru, Chairman Emeritus, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group and Camellia Panjabi, Queen of Indian Food were the chief advisors.
Leadership awards winners were: Executive Director of ITC Hotels Nakul Anand was honoured with The Architect — Responsible Luxury Award; CMD of Orchid Hotels Chander Baljee was accorded the Lifetime Achievement Award; MD, India & Southwest Asia at Hyatt Hotels Sunjae Sharma received the Hall Of Fame Award; Senior VP & India Country Head of Hilton Zubin Saxena bagged the Hotelier Of The Year Award; and Market MD, Eurasia of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Nikhil Sharma won the Excellence In Leadership Award.
