ith renewed support, Rajan Jetley and I set up
‘Radisson Hotels Asia’, a company that had
development rights for the whole of Asia, except
China. Neelam and I were excited that my older
Wson Amit got admission at the International School
of Singapore and Sameer was admitted to United World College
and both would receive a world-class education. Rajan Jetley set up
an office at a prestigious address on Orchard Road. Although, no
one had heard of Carlson or its brands in this region, Rajan and I
continued our operations in Singapore with notable fervour. We
both knew Tunku Iskandar, the chairman of Melawar Corporation,
who had also been the chairman of the Pacific Asia Travel
Association (PATA). Besides being from the royal family of Malaysia,
